Save the Date! The Osceola Woman’s Show Head 2 Toe September 7th, 2013

The show that made history last year in Osceola County is coming back with a bang! On August 25, 2012 the Osceola Woman Newspaper hosted a health and beauty show that featured the county’s finest local businesses, expert speakers, and interactive booths. The event also promoted a very worthy cause, Compassionate Hands and Hearts Breast Cancer Outreach lead by founder and Channel 9 news anchor, Vanessa Echols. Not only will this year’s event, scheduled for September seventh, include all of these highlights, it will be twice the size and twice the fun! Stroll through 200 (versus last year’s 100) booths to shop, interact, relax, and experience all that Osceola County has to offer! Plus, this year’s show will expand to include businesses in the field of home improvements!

If you attended last year’s event, you may have participated in some of the interactive booths and gotten a massage, a makeover, had your blood pressure checked, got a custom make-up consultation, just to name a few. This year the interaction will go to a whole new level with a fantastic line up of inspiring and empowering classes and workshops for all walks of life. provided by the University of Florida’s IFAS Extension Office. Class subjects include “Taking Your Business to the Next Stage”, “Managing Your Purse Strings”, “Money Habitudes”, and more related topics. The “Treating Yourself to a Financial Makeover” will give you the tools you need to makeover your financial situation by learning to maximize your money through planned spending, saving tips and management tools that will help take control of your finances. Who couldn’t use these tools?

No woman’s show would be complete without providing guests with up-to-date information on hot health related topics. Learn the top myths, mistakes and what women need to know to maintain their health from a panel of expert physicians and specialists from Osceola Regional Medical Center. Finally, you can ask and get your top questions answered in an embarrassment-free zone! Later in the afternoon, enjoy “Cooking for Your Heart”, a heart healthy meal cooking demonstration featuring a top cardiologist. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your body! The last class of the day, provided by the Extension Office, turns its focus to YOU by helping you to identify the signs of low self-esteem and its effect on you and discover ways to boost it to enhance your quality of life. By participating in these knowledge-packed sessions, you’re sure to leave a little wiser, a little healthier, and in possession of tools to perhaps make you a little wealthier!

Vanessa Echols inspired the crowd at last year’s event with her inspiring story of hope and survival. We’re thrilled to announce that she will grace our stage once again at this year’s event! Like last year, a portion of the ticket proceeds will go directly to Compassionate Hands and Hearts Breast Cancer Outreach and help women right here in Central Florida battling breast cancer. 2012’s show brought in $2500 and we know that this year’s show will be even more of a success!
